Style: Hatha Flow
Bio:
Yoga is my passion, it’s what makes me jump out of bed in the morning! Just talking about it brings a smile to my face, and an even bigger smile when actually practicing and teaching.
I always had a desire to teach but hadn’t found my subject, until I found yoga. After 6 years of regular practice, it became my dream to share the wonder of yoga with others. It had such a positive impact on my life that I felt everyone should also discover how it could do the same for them! I spent a while looking at courses but then one day the right course found me at the right time. In July/August 2018, I completed my 200 hrs Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha Yoga with Proper Northern Yoga in Kendal. It was the best decision I ever made.
Since October 2018, I have taught weekly hatha flow classes and weekend workshops (as well as doing a full time day job!). My aim is to make my classes fun, friendly and welcoming whilst still incorporating philosophy and technique. I want to break down the misconceptions to show that yoga is for every age, gender, size and ability. I love creating classes with a theme that integrate asana, pranayama and meditation. I also really enjoy guiding yoga nidra as I am often told how soothing my voice is! Hearing how yoga has brought a moment of calm to someone’s day, helped them get a better night’s sleep or has relieved an ache is why I wanted to teach. It brings me pure joy!
