So the ‘Caroline does…’ line has become a running joke in our house.
‘Caroline does the Washing Up’… ‘Caroline does Cooking’… ‘Caroline does Putting the Kettle On’…
Also – how convenient it was that my father’s surname was ‘does Yoga’ – like it was nominative determinism. Mr Bun the Baker, Mrs Taylor the Seamstress, Mr McCracken the Chiropractor and so on.
Someone recently asked me what my actual surname was, because he’d just been using ‘Yoga’.
Oh well, it does the job.
But I digress – Yoga Retreats!!
I mentioned in a previous blog and on social media that I’m making a few changes to my teaching and concentrating more on fewer, focused events.

Alex has years of experience leading groups on day walks, challenges and long distance journeys. He likes to combine guiding with natural history and wildlife watching, and has travelled widely, including on expeditions to southern Africa, Svalbard, Borneo and Oman.
He is all over the walking part of the weekend – nice gentle strolls around the local countryside where he can tell you all about the wildlife, natural and cultural history of the area. For those bits, I’m just along for the ride….
… he’s also rather good at cooking, and pouring wine…
I’m better at the Yoga side of things – well what else could I do with that surname??
I teach Hatha Yoga and my classes are adaptable for all experience and abilities. There are alway options with every position – so whether you find some things more challenging than others, or if one day you just want to take things easy that’s no problem. On the flip side, if you fancy developing a certain pose, or working on something more challenging just let me know!
As well as the physical practice, I like to focus on breathing exercises and lovely relaxation sessions with some mindfulness and meditation thrown in.
Take away techniques and bespoke routines to help with focus, concentration, improve sleep and reduce stress.
With four sessions across the weekend, we’ll be sure to do wonders with our zen as well as our hamstrings!
